■感想

著者が早稲田MBAの教授を10年近くも務めたのに意味がないと言っていることに大きな矛盾と悲しさを感じました。

著者は早稲田MBAで教えていた生徒に対して失礼なのではないでしょうか？

また、仮に日本のMBAが意味ないものだとしても、そうならないよう、在籍した10年の間で早稲田MBAを改革すれば良かったのにって思ってしまいます。

MBAに意味があるかどうかは、その人が判断すべきだと思います。
なぜなら、人によってMBAで学ぶ動機は異なるからです。

少なくとも、MBAランキングに左右されている限りは、MBAでやりたいことって明確にはないんだろうなって私は思います。

この本も読んでいても、このようなブログを書いた私もそうですけど、強い否定って当たり前ですが、いい気持ちにはならないですね。

本書はあまりオススメできないです。

■感想

会社の本棚に置いてあったので読んでみました。

輸入ビジネスに携わっている人は全国でどれくらいいるのでしょうか？
この本を読む前までは、難しく一部の資格なり特権なりを持っている人しか
できない商売だと思っていました。

けど、この本を読んでイメージがガラリと変わり、本人のやる気次第ですぐにでも始められるビジネスだと知りました。

輸入ビジネスを始める前にすべきことは大きく次の2点です。

1.海外の見本市に商品を発掘しに行くこと
2.独占販売権を獲得すること

独占販売権と聞くと、契約が絡む複雑な処理が求められるみたいなのですが
著者曰く、それは専門家に任せておけばいいと説いています。

輸入ビジネスで凄いなあと思ったのは、

「定価は自由に決めていい」

ということです。

輸入ビジネスにおいては、粗利50%は当たり前だそうです。

びっくりですね。

輸入ビジネスでは、海外の好きな国で好きな商品を扱うことができるため、
自由に海外を飛び回りながら、面白い商品がないか楽みながらしている人も
いるのかもしれないですね。

是非、そんな人にがいたら会ってみたいなあと思いました。

ちなみに狙う商品のポイントは

「小さく・軽く・価値があること」

だそうです。

小さく・軽くは海外から日本への発送費用を安く抑えるためだそうです。

あと、私は全然知らなかったのですが「ジェトロ認定貿易アドバイザー試験」という輸入ビジネスの資格もあるんですね。しかも難関。。。

私は今まで買った本が部屋でいっぱいになった時には近所にある本屋に売りに行っていました。

割と最新で買った本もあるにも関わらず、売値は二束三文になることが多いです。だからと言って、せっかくお店にもってきた本を売値が低いからと他のお店で見てもらう気力も出てこず。。。

というよりも、半ば本を売っても大した値段にはならないだろうとあきらめていた節の方が大きかったです。

でも、最近メルカリを使って読んで売りたい本を出品してみました。

出品の方法や、コンビニへのメルカリ便(下記参考)使用方法がわかるかなーって不安だったのですが...

具体的には出品方法と発送方法です。

出品方法から説明すると、

1.メルカリ出品時の入力項目はたった8項目！

まず、出品は写真を撮って次の項目を入力すれば完了です。

・商品の写真

・商品名

・商品の説明

・商品のカテゴリ(選択制)

・発送元の地域(選択制)

・配達料の負担(選択制)

・発送までの日数(選択制)

・価格

選択制が多いのでパソコンを使った出品だと、私の場合1つ出品するにつき3分ぐらいでできてしまいました。

次の商品が売れた後の発送方法ですが、

2.袋詰め不要。コンビニでサクッと配達依頼可能！

発送するまでたった次の4ステップで完了します。

STEP1:メルカリのアプリから配達便を選択する

STEP2:包装する

STEP3:コンビニに置いてあるチケット購買機を使って、メルカリで表示されるQRコードを読み取らせる

STEP4:購買機から出てくるレシートと商品をレジに持っていく

メルカリ便の何がいいかって、袋詰めが不要なことです。

ただ私は念のため包装しておいた方がいいなあと思い、プチプチをAmazonで購入しました。

お金の流れでわかる世界の歴史　富、経済、権力……はこう「動いた」

■感想

著者の作品は3冊目かな？
面白いのでよく読むようになりました。

観点として、歴史が動いた背景をお金、つまり経済から考察しています。

参考図書も多く、きちんと裏付け調査をしっかりしている印象を受けました。
なので、書かれている内容には自然と頷いてしまいました。

本書では目次が秀逸だと思います。次は目次の一部ですが魅力が湧きませんか？

・エジプトの繁栄を支えた徴税システム
・ユダヤ人はなぜ昔から金融に強いか
・チンギス・ハーンによる「柔らかい政治・経済政策」
・黒人奴隷はほとんど黒人によって買われていた
・海賊と奴隷貿易で財をなしたエリザベス女王
・世界を動かしたロスチャイルド家
・世界の金の7割を保有していたアメリカの危うさ
・・・

実際、ページを開いて読んでみると簡潔に分かりやすくも書かれているので
ドンドン読み進めることができます。

あとがきで著者が、

「強い国は、財政システム、徴税システムなどがしっかり整っている。一方、
国が傾くのは富裕層が特権を作って税金を逃れ、中間層以下にそのしわ寄せが行くとき」なのだそうです。

それと関連して、一時ニュースにもなったタックスヘイブンについて

「先進諸国の富裕層や大企業がタックスヘイブンであったケイマン諸島に税金逃れが促進された結果、中間層以下に厳しい課税を行うようになってきている。」

この状況は歴史的に国が傾く危険な状態にあると警鐘を鳴らし、本書を締めています。

歴史を学ぶときに、戦争・政治などいろんな観点はあるのですが
お金(経済)という観点は強い主張になるものだと本書を読んで理解しました。

オススメです。

当たり前と思うものもあれば、参考になることもいくつか書かれていたのですが
どこか寂しいと感じてしまうところもありました。

例えば、出費を増やさないための一つ方法として、
「友達の数を増やすの止めてみる」
と書いたあるのを読むと、何だろう。

それは付き合い止めれば、支出は減るけれどもやっぱり寂しく感じます。

もちろん、共感できたところもあって
「健康な身体でいることは、何よりも節約になる」

これは至言だと思います。

うまくまとめることができていないですが、節約をもっとしたい人は参考になることが書かれているのでオススメです。

自分の仕事を振り返るときによく読んでいます、というのも、つい自分の仕事があらぬ方向に行っていないか気づかせてくれるからです。

例えば、

・ムダな会議をしていないか？
・職場の空気を読むことが、仕事の目的になっていないか？

・情報共有することが仕事になっていないか？

本書で伝えたい最も重要なことは

企業の本質は「ヒット商品を作り続ける」こと。この一点だと思います。

これを実践するためには、年齢、職歴、役職に関係なく、ユーザのニーズに応える情熱と能力がある人間が主導権を取ること。そして戦略もすごいシンプルでクオリティの高いプロダクトを、どこよりも早く出し続けることに注力する。

一見すると、そのとおり！明日から実践していこうと思える内容なのですが、
個人の意識改革はもちろん、会社全体で取り組みをしていない限りなかなか変わらないのが実情だと思います。

本当に変える場合には強いリーダーシップが必要です。

本書はとくにIT業界だから、ベンチャーだからという制約はないと思います。
どの会社でも参考にできる内容が書かれています。

「でも自分の会社は違う！」と例外を考えるのは、
その人が「できないと決めつけているから」だと思います。

本書を読みながら、自分が何を目的に仕事をしているのか、今後どうしていくのかを考えるきっかけを与えてくれる素晴らしい本だと思います。

本書はエンジニアでオススメ本としてよく選出される本ですね。

新卒で必読を勧めている会社もありますし、知人からは本書を読んでいない人は
エンジニアではないとまで言う人もいました。

今まで読んでなかった私はいったい。。。（汗）

彼曰く、本書の内容はプロダクト開発に必要な「考え方」だそうで、本書を理解していないとチーム開発時にコーディング、テスト設計等、プロダクト開発に支障がでるそうです。

本書を読んで、自分自身が特に気をつけないといけないなーと思ったのは次の３点です。

・二重化や直交性の意識が低く、それを許容してしまっているところがソース上あった
・コーディングする際に完全に理解していないままのところがあった
（特にAPIが多いです）
・シェルを使いこなそうとはしなかったこと
（GUIでいいやと思ってしまっている自分がいた。）

エンジニアの人は是非、読むことをオススメするのはもちろんですが
エンジニアでなくても優れたエンジニアかどうかの確認ポイントとして本書の内容について話をしてみるといいかもです。
