各国のリーダーが世界、または自国の問題・課題・解決策を述べている内容は単純に私の知的好奇心が満たされます。
私自身、英語の勉強をしているなか何を持って英語本を「理解した」と見なすかですが次の条件を満たす場合としています。
1.英文を読んで、自分の言葉で要約できる
2.CDが付いている場合はリスニングが聞き取れる（≒内容が理解できる）
1ですが、本書においては社会問題の内容が多く、専門的な言葉をきちんと理解する必要があります。2もまだまだです。
なので、しばらくは本書と付き合っていくことになります。

While I am studying English, what I consider to be “understood” as an English book is subject to the following conditions:
1. Read English and understand the contents (≒ Summarize in your own words)
2. If you have a CD, you can listen to it (≒ understand the content)
1 However, there are many social issues in this book, and there is still a lot of need to understand specialized language. 2 is still more.
So, for a while, I will be with this book.
