やっぱり、前置詞の聞き取りが不正確です。
例えば、〜 thing in 〜 が自分の脳内のInputだと、「シング イン」だけど、実際は「シンギ」みたいに聞こえると？？？ってなってしまいます。。。
なんなら、前置詞＋単語に特化したリスニング集があってもいいかもしれないですね。
最近はこのあたりを鍛える必要があると感じました。
コツコツがんばります。
ちなみに↓が前置詞のイメージで視覚的な理解をするのはいいと思います。
